Loot Busters

Dorothy King and Culture-Concierge.com have unveiled a website designed to help identify likely looted material. For more, see http://www.lootbusters.com/

The website is built some basic principles: images accessible to all, no agenda, and no strings attached. As such, it is a welcome change from the usual finger wagging.

That very same Dorothy King who wrote a book a few years ago called THE ELGIN MARBLES, defending the presence of the Parthenon marbles in the B.M? THAT Dorothy King? Even the title of her infamous book was an insult.

allow me to wag my finger: Lootbusters by Dorothy King etc etc is sponsored by: http://www.culture-concierge.com/, which as well is Dorothy King. Impressive achievement: Ms King is sponsoring herself (and at the same time tries to promote her infamous book about the PARTHENON marbles...).

My, even Barford has nice (for him) things to say about it. Why not focus on the positive things she is doing rather than griping about her book or the fact that her new venture is sponsoring the website?

So, I finally agree with him on something!

I'm not sure of the reasons for Ton Cremers' use of his Museum Security Network's campaign against this worthy project, particularly because it seems to be not based on the merits of the project itself, but some disagreements with Dorothy King's book of some years back on the Elgin Marbles.

Anyway, Mr. Cremers has had his say and I will not publish anything else from him on this topic on this blog.
